Vidyut Chetna Puraskar
To encourage, recognize and promote significant achievements in key areas contributing to organizational excellence, the forum under the patronage of Ministry of Power, Govt of India has instituted Vidyut Chetna Purashkar, presently in three disciplines.

Entry for the Vidyut Chetna Purshkar is open to all Govt. owned Power Sector Utilities in India.

Vidyut Chetna Puraskar for Best HR Practices
The Purpose of the Purashkar is to recognize effective and innovative Programs and practices in the field of HR within the company's overall business objective under the following broad criteria.
- Use of creativity in the development and design of the Best Practice.
- Resources ( Manpower, Material, equipment etc.), Length of Time, Initial & Recurring Cost involved in its implementation.
- How well the Best Practice aligned with the company's overall mission.
- Recognizable and Measurable Positive outcomes, such as, increased level of Employee / Customer satisfaction, reduction in turnover etc.
- Value added through Process improvement.
Vidyut Chetna Puraskar for Best Corporate Citizen
The award is instituted to recognize the contribution to activities beyond short term profit motive and with specific emphasis on the following.
- Community outreach
- Environmental Concern
- Social Services
- Cultural Development
- Development of Sports
- Customer Services / Recognition
Vidyut Chetna Puraskar for Promotion of Women’s Welfare, Development & Empowerment
This award is in the pursuit of recognizing any noteworthy work or achievement in the field of Women’s Welfare, Development & Empowerment resulting in transformation of women as a major factor of change at any level.
AWARD PROCESS
- For each award, written entries in the prescribed format will be received from the concerned organization within the scheduled time frame to be notified by the Forum’s Sectt. After passing through a preliminary scrutiny, selected entries shall be called for presentation / evaluation before a three member Jury comprising eminent personalities, whose decision shall be final and binding. The tentative schedule of the award shall be as under.
- Date of announcement of award for receiving entries - 15th January
- Last date for confirmation of participation - 28th February
- Last date for receiving entries in prescribed format - 30th May
- Date of Presentation / Evaluation by a three member
- Jury & Distribution of Award - 30th June
For this purpose the award shall relate to the financial year preceding the year in which evaluation is made.
- The winner and the Runners up for each event shall be awarded a Trophy along with a citation and cash prize.
- The entries in the prescribed format are to be forwarded to the Sectt . of the Forum in the following address.
